MONT-SAINT-BRUNO NOW HAS DOGGY-FRIENDLY ROUTES

Attention dog lovers! Another Sépaq park adds the doggies. Sépaq move in the right direction, and nose-to-the-ground-dogs are barking in agreement.
The big news for the immense lush park full of religious history, settlements (there’s even an old mill), an apple-orchard, birdsong, five lakes, an arboretum and the idyllic nature encompassed in the bounteous beauty of Quebec’s Monteregian Hill. Our walk took us to lakes and old stone houses.

The welcoming centre has maps for you.

Now it’s being marked by a different kind of footprint – one made with the patter of our four legged friends.

I brought my dog, Zak and together we walked to two lakes: Lac du Moulin and to its near north, Lac Seigneurial. Along the way, we passed stone houses, mansions and fabulous stone walls that wound themselves around new nature vistas for us to
discover.

Zak loved it all!

Basically, you can walk in all directions with your dog, along three trails. One is 1.5 kilometres, and for longer trails, take the 3.5 one or the 7-kilometre scenic trek. No matter which one, each offers places to rest, even picnic while enjoying lake views.

Then again, you can stop in for tea and treats at the Old Mill Tea Room.

Thank you Sépaq for opening up another park that welcomes dogs on leashes.

On September 7th,  celebrate Quebec’s National Park Day. Pick the park of your choice. Entrance is free in all Sepaq parks this day.
