Attention dog lovers! Another Sépaq park adds the doggies. Sépaq move in the right direction, and nose-to-the-ground-dogs are
barking in agreement.
The big news for the immense lush park full of religious history, settlements
(there’s even an old mill), an apple-orchard, birdsong, five lakes, an
arboretum and the idyllic nature
encompassed in the bounteous beauty of Quebec’s Monteregian Hill. Our walk took us to lakes and old stone houses.

Now it’s being marked by a different kind of footprint – one made with the
patter of our four legged friends.
I brought my dog, Zak and together we walked to two lakes: Lac du Moulin
and to its near north, Lac Seigneurial. Along the way, we passed stone houses,
mansions and fabulous stone walls that wound themselves around new nature vistas
for us to
discover.

Basically, you can walk in all directions with your dog, along three
trails. One is 1.5 kilometres, and for longer trails, take the 3.5 one or the
7-kilometre scenic trek. No matter which one, each offers places to rest, even
picnic while enjoying lake views.
Then again, you can stop in for tea and
treats at the Old Mill Tea Room.
Thank you Sépaq for opening up another park that welcomes dogs on
leashes.
On September 7th, celebrate Quebec ’s National Park Day. Pick the park of
